Title: Selected Topics in Network Coding Research

Abstract: This talk overviews some key problems and results on network coding research. The topics covered will include: network coding in undirected networks, multiple-unicast network coding, network coding in planar networks, network coding and field sizes, and space information flow.

Brief Bio: Zongpeng Li is an Associate Professor and Associate Head at the Department of Computer Science, University of Calgary, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Zongpeng received his BSc from Tsinghua University in 1999, and his MSc and PhD from University of Toronto, in 2001 and 2005, respectively. His research interests include network coding, and efficient algorithms and mechanisms for computer networks, cloud computing, and power systems.

于2005年和2001年分别获得加拿大多伦多大学电子与计算机工程系和计算机科学系的博士和硕士学历/学位，2005年至今为加拿大Calgary大学计算机科学系从事教学和科研。研究领域包括网络编码、多播算法、网络优化、无线网络等。在A类期刊Transaction on Information Theory (TIT)、IEEE/ACM Transaction on Networking (TON)、IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (TPDS)、IEEE Transactions on Multimedia (TMM) 、IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC) 和会议IEEE Infocom、ACM SIGMETRICS等发表论文。
