Cognitive Radio (CR) technology has gained a lot of attention recently due to its capability of dynamically capturing the unoccupied spectrum. CRs are expected to be an important technology driver for wireless networks of the future. They will enable wireless devices to flexibly create many different kinds of communication links depending on the required performance and spectrum/interference constraints. In this talk, a framework of designing a secure and intelligent CR network will be introduced. The unique challenges and open problems in such networks will be identified and candidate solutions will be discussed.

附2：报告人简介

Lijun Qian received his B.E. from Tsinghua University in 1993, M.S. from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in 1996, and PhD from WINLAB, Rutgers University in 2001. Currently he is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) of Texas A&M University System. Before joining PVAMU, he was a researcher in the Networks and Systems Research Department of Bell-Labs at Murray Hill, NJ. His research interests are in wireless communications and mobile networks, and his research is supported by NSF, ARO, and AFOSR.
